Services

The Invisible Practice brings together specialized skills, lived knowledge, and easy-to-book packages for arts organizations, wherever they may be in their journey toward meaningful Deaf inclusion. All of these services are provided by Deaf artists, ensuring a direct flow from Deaf perspective to transformative action.

Building capacity for Deaf-centric creativity in the local community can’t happen without meaningful partnerships. This is one way we’re working to deepen those connections throughout the arts community in amiskwacîwâskahikan.

LINKTREE

All promotion services include a spot in our Linktree!

free

All public-facing promotions will be accompanied by a transparency statement. For example:

"This post is part of The Invisible Practice's paid services to encourage accessible and inclusive artistic creation. TIP was not part of the creative or access process for this event."

Thanks to our partnership with Invisible Practice, we doubled the attendance of Deaf and ASL-invested Patrons at our most recent show. We appreciate their support and always enjoy collaborating with their team.

How are our fees determined?

Fees are decided in two ways: our own judgement of the value of the work, or according to CARFAC’s guidelines for professional work. All fees are paid directly to the people doing the work.

For example: You request a promotional post for $25. Connor Yuzwenko-Martin is the person who will do this, so he receives $25.

Alternatively: Connor is too busy during this time, so he delegates it to another person. That person receives $25.

KEEP IN MIND…

Access costs for providing consultation and workshop services are separate from our fees, which go directly to Deaf artists and professionals. This includes accommodations when a group is not fluent in ASL, such as ASL interpretation.

In most cases, your group will be responsible for access costs unless specifically agreed otherwise.

workshop

Sometimes classroom learning is the best way to start. We offer pre-designed presentations and hands-on activities that can be customized to each group’s unique context and needs.

Connor took the time to get to know our team and our current knowledge base so that he could customize the workshop to meet our needs. He shared so much wonderful information and gave us a lot to think about, including practical strategies so that we left the room with an action plan. Thank you for working with us and being so open to our many questions!

SOCIAL MEDIA ACCESSIBILITY

Hands-on activities will help you reframe how you engage with your audiences, and meet their needs online. This includes a pre-workshop survey to gauge comfort level with various aspects of social media, which will inform our workshop design.

$500/4 hours

As we continue to build capacity for Deaf-centric creativity in the local community, more workshop options will become available.

If there is a workshop topic you would like to engage us on, please reach out! Consider this a partnership opportunity to develop our services while fulfilling your learning goals.

Thank you for supporting the journey of Deaf artists and audiences!
