INTENTIONAL
GATHERINGS
“How can The Invisible Practice serve you?”
The above question is what the Intentional Gatherings community consultation series set out to answer. This was the first project officially undertaken by The Invisible Practice. This work was led by the four, later five, collective artists: Connor Yuzwenko-Martin, Crystal Wolfe, Kayla Bradford-Sinasac, Jan McCarthy, and joined by Ebony R. Gooden midway.
The Intentional Gatherings were dedicated to collecting community input for structuring and launching our new Indigenous-informed Deaf arts organization. These consultations focused on engaging with key stakeholders who are invested in the processes and outcomes of a local Deaf arts collective.
The cumulative outcome of this project is our first five-year strategic plan. Now in development, Strategic Plan 2026-30 will be announced in early 2026 to outline our creative and financial goals along with our finalized vision, mission, and value statements. Altogether, this will constitute our mandate – directly informed by local Deaf artists and community members.

As part of our commitment to radical transparency, we documented the Intentional Gatherings in photos and on video. This has created a rich visual library showing the strength, passion, and diversity of our local creative community.
Two key team members made this possible with their talent behind the lenses.
