INTENTIONAL GATHERINGS
general arts community
PostPONED!
Stay tuned for a new date for this event!
Accessibility and inclusion is a fundamental part of making good art.
We bring together anyone and everyone who is part of the vibrant arts community in amiskwacîwâskahikan. Whether they have any experience working with Deaf artists, or are still unsure how to navigate this new future, we want the same thing: a sustainable arts ecology that can care for all of its kin.
And we ask: How can The Invisible Practice help?

TOPICS
These are the topics we will discuss during this Intentional Gathering. You are welcome to read ahead of time so that you can come prepared. You will be able to provide all of your comments in ASL or English.
What role can TIP play in navigating toward a healthier arts ecology that leaves nobody behind?
What are the largest obstacles arts groups and organizations face in developing Deaf-inclusive opportunities?
How can the community develop more meaningfully Deaf-inclusive shows that will attract larger Deaf audiences?
What type of programming or project would enable hearing artists to work with Deaf artists regularly to build capacity, artistic relationships, and mutual trust?
What kind of services can TIP provide that will most benefit the arts community?
Deaf artists and the Deaf community have very limited capacity. Are you willing to volunteer some of your time to support various activities? If so, how many hours each month do you feel capable of providing?
What are you most excited or curious about Deaf-centric creativity?
What advice would you offer to a new non-profit arts organization in the local community?
